    Have a Valid Passport and Driving license.

    For Iraq, you must meet one of the following criteria:

    • Have a foreign valid passport.
    • Representing a company/ organization legally registered in the country.

    Car rental with drivers is available for all renters even if they do not meet the criteria above.

    Yes, however we do not provide rental contracts for less than 3 days.

  • 3. Can I pick up the car from one area and drop it off in another?

    Yes, as long as you coordinate and confirm with Al Haydar Rent a Car team beforehand. Extra charges might apply.

  • 4. Can I rent a car from Iraqi Kurdistan and travel to the south?

    Yes, as long as you have a valid visa for both areas and you request a Power of Attorney. Additional fee will apply for the Power of Attorney

  • 5. If I got into an accident and it was the other person’s fault, what is the procedure?

    The most important thing when getting into an accident is to report it immediately and to work with the traffic police to get an accurate report. If the accident was proven to not be your fault, no fee will be charged on you. However if you do not follow the procedures outlined by Al Haydar Rent a Car, you will be charged depending on the damages.

  • 6. If I got into an accident and it was my fault, what is the procedure?

    The most important thing when getting into an accident is to report it immediately and to work with the traffic police to get an accurate report. Depending on your insurance package, you will be either charged. Make sure to check with your sales representative about the type of insurance you are looking for.

    In the case of complete destruction of the vehicle, you will be charged up to 20% of the total value of the vehicle.

    Insurance packages vary between Iraq and UAE. In both cases, additional insurance coverage can be purchased for additional cost

  • 7. What if I encountered any issues with my car and it needed maintenance?

    At Al Haydar Rent a Car, we ensure that we keep track of all maintenance and routine services needed. However, cars can still encounter issues. In this case, please contact your sales representative immediately and inform them about the situation. Taking an Al Haydar car to a service shop on your own is not acceptable and will lead to a penalty.

  • 8. What if I want to reserve a vehicle outside of the areas mentioned in the website?

    The website currently does not have all cities listed. This is to ensure that we are able to guarantee fast and efficient service. However, Al Haydar Rent a Car can provide its services in EVERY city in Iraq and UAE. To organize that, kindly reach out to our sales representatives. Additional cost will apply according to the distance.

    If you are an individual, Al Haydar Rent a Car will need to hold your passport or ID for the duration of the rental.

  • 12. Do you provide pick up and drop off services in case I cannot receive or drop off the car at the designated area?

    Yes! Our team can deliver or pick up the car for you at different locations. However, we do need you to inform us in advance to make sure that we have a team member available. These services will be at an additional cost depending on the location.

    Please be mindful that speeding tickets and any traffic fines will be charged to the renter.

    Be mindful of speed limits and parking locations as most of the streets are monitored by speed radars and point-to-point systems that accurately calculate your speed. Feel free to ask our sales representatives more questions about the traffic laws and regulations.

  • 15. is the entire fleet visible on this website?

    No. Al Haydar has a vast fleet of vehicles. A portion of that fleet is made visible and ready for booking on the website. However Al Haydar Rent a Car company also luxury options available upon request and availability, more options of Sedans and SUVs .

  • 16. Can I book for a car on the same day?

    Yes, depending on the availability of the car requested. However this type of booking will require you to book through our sales representative to ensure that your request is tackled properly. It is always recommended that you book in advance to guarantee a smoother operation.
